Compliance Self-Assessment Tool for Feedback Processes for Broadcasters

Purpose

This tool can help broadcasters determine whether their feedback processes meet the requirements and the intent of the Accessible Canada Act and the Accessible Canada Regulations. It can also help broadcasters identify areas that may require additional attention.

Using this tool is optional. Organizations are not required to use this tool. You can print or save your results electronically. Your results will not be shared with the Accessibility Commissioner.

Remember: Your organization also has to meet the feedback process requirements in the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission Accessibility Reporting Regulations.

Helpful Notes for Users of this Tool

  • User means someone who is filling out this tool for a federally regulated organization. The words “organization” and “federally regulated entity” mean the same thing in these questions.
  • *  means a mandatory requirement. You cannot continue in the tool without answering this question.
  • Questions where the answer is No: If you choose the response No, a Notes box will pop up, and you must enter something in the box to continue to the next question. There is no minimum number of characters required; the maximum limit is 1000 characters.
