National Needs Assessment for Young Women with Breast Cancer

Thank you for your interest!

Rethink Breast Cancer was the first national Canadian charity to focus on the unique needs of those diagnosed with breast cancer at a younger age. A national needs assessment for young women with breast cancer was conducted in 2011 and now, Rethink is excited to be conducting a research study 13 years later to better understand how the breast cancer space has changed and what the experiences of today’s younger breast cancer community are.

The purpose of the study is to better understand how those with curative, early-stage or local (stage 1-3) breast cancer experience and navigate through the healthcare system, to help improve and create educational, support and advocacy initiatives.

We are asking Canadian women over the age of 20 to share their attitudes, experiences and concerns regarding diagnosis, treatment and beyond. This survey is intended for women who were first diagnosed or diagnosed with recurrent breast cancer in 2018 or onwards. We understand that it might be a sensitive issue for you, but we would greatly appreciate your input for our study.  When completing the questionnaire, you may refuse to answer any question you do not want to answer by advancing to the next question.

If you qualify, the survey will take about 30 minutes to complete. The information you provide within this survey will be kept strictly confidential.

Your time and contribution to our survey will provide valuable feedback and direction to help inform Rethink Breast Cancer, health care providers and the broader support community to better serve women with breast cancer

By accessing the survey linked below, I understand the above and agree to the collection and distribution of my anonymized data for research purposes.
