About Gender-Based Violence (GBV)

It is a type of harm that women, girls, Two Spirit, trans and non-binary people are at risk of experiencing and it can take many forms including physical, emotional and sexual. Gender-based violence can happen between people in romantic relationships, in families, at work, and between friends, acquaintances and strangers.

The research team welcomes survey respondents to take a broad perspective on the harms that can occur under the umbrella of gender-based violence to include experiences such as harassment and gaslighting.
