Residential Land Use Strategy Survey

Lethbridge County is reviewing and updating its Residential Land Use Strategy, and we want to hear from you.

Today, more than 10,000 residents call Lethbridge County home—living in farmsteads, rural acreages, country residential areas, and our hamlets. We are also Alberta’s most productive agricultural economy, with high-intensity farm activity supporting a thriving agri-food sector.

As you complete this survey, please consider the location and type of your home:

  • Farmstead - a home directly linked to an agricultural operation.
  • Isolated Residential Acreage - a home on a subdivided parcel with limited nearby subdivisions and surrounded by agricultural operations.
  • Grouped Country Residential Subdivision - a home in a subdivision with more than three residential lots located beside one another (for example: Deer Run Estates, Vista Meadows, Edgemoor, Mountain Meadows, Sunset Acres, etc.)
  • Hamlet - a home located in Chin, Fairview, Diamond City, Iron Springs, Kipp, Monarch, Shaughnessy, or Turin.

The Residential Land Use Strategy will help guide where and how residential growth should occur over the long term, ensuring development aligns with community values and strengthens our rural identity.

This Strategy is being developed with residents and stakeholders at the centre of the process—your experiences and insights matter.

This survey is intended for residents of Lethbridge County and should take less than 15 minutes to complete. All responses are confidential and will be used solely to support the development of this Strategy and future engagement activities.

Thank you for helping shape the future of Lethbridge County.
